Emerging from big data and AI era, Columns Ai wants to become the simplest and fastest data storytelling platform for you and/or your company.
CREATE
Apart from the complexity of many BI tools — you focus on only what you care in telling a data story:
- Data Exploration: in data exploration time, you connect your data in columns.ai, use its visual query interface to analyze your data and map it to a graph automatically.
Take a look at this simple UI, you know what it’s doing: sum total tournaments for each year after 1999.
If you’re a SQL person, this translates into a SQL statement “select year, sum(tournaments) from {your data} where year > 1999 group by year limit 12.” — the query is backed by an extremely fast distributed engine running in a cloud cluster.
The wide spectrum types of data to be supported gives your consistent experience in data analytics: small data like csv/tsv files, Google spreadsheets, daily landed folders in Dropbox/OneDrive/Google Drive, big data like http, real time stream like kafka, data warehouse data sitting in cloud storage such as AWS S3 or Google cloud storage.
2. Data Explanation: once your exploration is done, you get an idea, it’s time to explain your insight on the same surface. Columns Ai gives you all kinds of ways to express yourself, we believe you’re the artist on this piece of canvas, including “annotation”, “highlight”, “comparison”, “voice over”, etc.
