Spokane, Hate, Election
Spokane
I came across this post while browsing Reddit, and it instantly caught my attention, making me eager to read the comments.
As a Seattle resident, I’ve visited Spokane many times. It’s a beautiful city with a river running through, connected by bridges, and even a zip line for sky views. It reminds me of my hometown on the other side of the world.
And the top comment—
It doesn’t answer the question for real, but it’s interesting — a bit political there, more social implications. It cleverly sets up a comparison between two groups: Progressive vs. Conservative.
Sorry, that’s human nature — compare and conflict.
Hate
We experience different emotions like unhappiness, anger, and hate. But how does hate form and grow?
From my observation, here’s a common pattern:
- We hold differing opinions on the same subject.
- We believe: Opinion = Truth.
- We take pride in being the Right one.
- We gain security by Correcting others.
Unfortunately, the other side thinks and acts the same —
War is unavoidable.
The root of hate is insecurity. People fight to win because it gives them a sense of security, while self-reflection is uncommon for most.
Election
With just 10 days left until the U.S. election, the political battlefield is intense, with constant attacks from both sides. Through this process, the people will decide who takes the reins.
Hate is inevitable — it’s the war’s nature. But what saddens me as an observer is the ignorance of many voters. Instead of thinking critically or gaining knowledge to shape their decision, many simply follow the crowd. Every vote counts and plays an equally important role, so it deserves a “personalized” thought and reason.
I wish every solider in the battlefield understands and believes in the reason why they fight.
